Down the line
In July senators failed to pass a law (as an amendment to a defense spending bill) that would allow gun owners to pack their pieces across state lines, but no one thinks that'll be the last time Congress debates the measure this year. (WP)
Congress doesn't have any other major crime bills coming down the pike, but it could be called in to pass legislation to change the tribunal system for Gitmo prisoners.
